Assisted Psychotherapy (AP)

We use a catalyst for psychological change and healing.

When given as part of a holistic treatment program tailored to each individual patient, our intervention may create a time sensitive window, where other forms of psychological therapy are more effective. This is possible because our intervention may temporarily enhance the brain’s neuroplasticity, enabling old thought patterns and beliefs to be replaced by new, healthier ones.

  • Glutamate is the major excitatory neurotransmitter in the brain.

    Concepts:

-JUMP STARTS the brain by enhancing neurotransmission in glutamate neurons.

-DEFRAGS THE MAINFRAME by its actions on serotonin receptors that influence the default mode network, where entrenched ways of thinking about the self, the world and others are encoded.

-FERTILISES THE BRAIN through its action on various growth factors that support new nerve growth, underlying its potential to help brains develop new pathways and new ways of thinking, feeling and behaving.

-ACTS LIKE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER by targeting the lateral habenular nucleus in fear networks, allowing trauma memories to be reprocessed and possibly extinguished, in conjunction with trauma informed evidence based psychological interventions.
